Day 1 and 2
Depart USA, Arrive in Edinburgh
Your journey begins as you depart the USA for “Bonnie
Scotland”. Upon arrival, you will be met by your tour
guide and transferred to Edinburgh. Enjoy a visit to
the Royal Yacht Britannia, which is now permanently
moored in Edinburgh. This glimpse into the royal life
of leisure will be the perfect beginning to your
journey. Dinner and overnight in Edinburgh area.

Day 3
Edinburgh
This morning you will begin to explore the city that
played an important part of Presbyterian heritage.
Tour Edinburgh Castle, where James VI, who authorized
the KJV Bible, was born. Visit St. Giles Cathedral,
the High Kirk of Edinburgh, where John Knox was
minister following the Scot’s Reformation. Continue
your exploration with a drive along Princes Street to
the Sir Walter Scott Monument. Dinner and overnight in
Edinburgh area.

Day 4
Edinburgh
Once again, you will be fascinated with Edinburgh as
you visit the historic John Knox House, where the
Reformer resided. Descend the Royal Mile to the Palace
of Holyrood where John Knox confronted Mary Queen of
Scots. Tonight you will attend the world-famous
Edinburgh Military Tattoo! You will enjoy the sights
and sounds of the Pipe and Drum corps together with
display teams and dance troupes from around the world.
Truly, a night to remember! Dinner and overnight in
Edinburgh.

Day 5
St. Andrews & Perth
Travel along the coastal route past picturesque
fishing villages to St. Andrews, the ancient
Ecclesiastical Capital of Scotland. Visit the ruins of
St. Andrews Cathedral and the nearby castle with its
notorious “Bottle Dungeon” where Knox and Reformers
were held prisoner. You’ll not want to miss a look at
the famous “Old Course” of St. Andrews, renowned as
the Home of Golf! Continue to Perth area for
overnight.

Day 6
Perth, Loch Lomond and Mull
This morning you will visit St. John’s Church in
Perth, where Knox preached in May of 1559 and fanned
the flame of the Reformation. The beautiful
countryside of Scotland will enchant you as you take
the high road to Loch Lomond. Here you will view the
famous loch made famous by the song, “The Bonny Banks
of Loch Lomond”. Continue to the Oban area, where you
will have dinner and overnight.

Day 7
Iona
Travel by ferry to the Isle of Mull, then on to the
quiet and peaceful Isle of Iona, the resting place for
many Scottish Kings. An entire day is yours to explore
the rich spiritual history of Iona. As you visit the
Abbey and shrine, you will begin to understand why
Iona is thought of as a place of spiritual power.
Throughout the centuries pilgrims have come to Iona,
which is Scotland’s first Christian monastic
settlement. Return to the Oban area for dinner and
overnight.

Day 8
Inveraray and Glasgow
A delightful ride takes you to the famous Inveraray
Castle, home of the 12th Duke of Argyll and seat of
Clan Campbell. After your visit to the castle, you’ll
continue to Glasgow, the commercial capital of
Scotland. Glasgow is well endowed with Victorian
architecture. You’ll visit the Glasgow Cathedral,
dedicated to St. Mungo. The cathedral was the only one
on the Scottish mainland to survive the violence of
the Reformation era. Dinner and overnight in the
Glasgow area.

Day 9
Return to USA
Return home with memories to treasure and knowledge to
share.
